The food was delicious, the staff friendly and efficient and the private function room was beautifully decorated for our arrival. “ Had heard great things about this place on social media, so had to give it a try on St Patrick’s night before heading into Bangor. The staff were great. Friendly, attentive and accommodating. The decor was impressive and the ambience spot-on for a casual/family dining experience. The food was excellent and really good value for money, which is a rare combination these days, but a couple of dishes deserve special mention. The honey chilli chicken and roasted pork belly is the best we have ever tasted. Great portion, prepared beautifully and absolutely full of flavour. The triple cooked chips were great too. The apple and rhubarb crumble with custard on the specials menu was indescribably good also. It was going down a storm with the other diners, so much so I just managed to get the last portion. Looking forward to returning very soon to sample some of the other dishes. I can highly recommend The Stables in Groomsport. ”
